Located in Bedford County in sight of the Peaks of Otter, Emerson Creek Pottery was started in 1977 with the idea of creating practical art. This led to the creation of beautiful ceramic pottery in clean organic designs. From mixing clay to hand painting each pattern, each piece is touched by Emerson Creek Pottery’s craftsmen and women, bringing a sustainable and practical use of art to daily life.
Emerson Creek Pottery offers many different shapes, patterns, and glazes, including their beloved signature line, Field of Iris, a classic since 1977. Constantly evolving, they add new patterns, glazes, and forms often, such as their Onyx Black and Pearl glazes, a step back to the basics. All of their work is microwave- and dishwasher-safe, lead- and cadmium-safe and ovenproof.
