Lynchburg’s central location continues to attract investment from companies that support the region’s growing manufacturing base. The latest: TIPCO Technologies, a custom supply company that expanded into a new 10,000-square-foot facility in June 2025.
TIPCO’s new facility brings together their Express Hose Center and Metal Hose Division more than a decade after joining the Lynchburg community. Supplying hoses, fittings, and seals, they help keep the manufacturing ecosystem running in their “behind-the-scenes” role within the industry by supplying manufacturers with the parts and solutions they need to create their products effectively.
Differing from traditional manufacturers, TIPCO has positioned themselves as a “solutions partner” dedicated to creating resources tailored to each customer’s specific challenges. According to Fawn Mordosky, the Director of Marketing at TIPCO, “Unlike traditional manufacturers focused on one output, TIPCO is the bridge between need and solution. Our flexibility allows us to respond quickly, adapt precisely, and serve as a lifeline when uptime matters most.”
The move to the new facility not only allows the company to better support the region’s manufacturers, but it also opens up new job opportunities for locals. Previously, TIPCO was housed in a 3,800-square-foot space. More than doubling their local footprint has led to expansion for the local economy, not only in new jobs but the opportunity for local companies to be a part of the physical expansion.
“The new facility was designed in collaboration with a local property owner and builder, allowing us to tailor the layout to our operational needs,” Mordosky expanded on the company’s recent growth. “With increased inventory capacity and space for new product lines, we’re better equipped than ever to deliver on-demand solutions to our customers.”
The larger facility allows TIPCO to expand their functionality and bring faster solutions to those that need them both locally and regionally. Working with everyone from local contractors and farmers to large industrial companies, their larger presence allows them to remove some of the wait time to get solutions, as they now have the capacity to handle more relationships at the same time, while also having a larger team to help problem-solve and create.
“TIPCO complements traditional manufacturing by offering agility and support exactly when it’s needed. Whether it’s a critical part, a custom assembly, or expert guidance, we step in to keep production moving,” Mordosky explained on how this expansion has given them the ability to serve the community better.
As a company that delivers unique solutions for each individual entity they work with, time is incredibly valuable. In outgrowing their previous facility, they were able to bring in more jobs to the new space, creating more space to help more businesses. Their goal in this growth is to be able to serve more people without making them wait any longer than needed, regardless of whether they’re providing a critical part, custom assembly, or expert guidance to get their partners back to work quickly.
On the decision to continue operating and expanding within Lynchburg, Modrosky added, “We’re proud to be part of the community, building relationships and delivering value where it counts. Every minute matters in manufacturing, and TIPCO is here to make sure those minutes aren’t lost.”
Manufacturing growth within Lynchburg has had a strong impact on the community, and companies that further support that vital role within the area only serve to attract more companies to the region. By facilitating easy and effective solutions to potential problems manufacturing companies might come across within their production workflows through companies like TIPCO, the Lynchburg area becomes highly attractive to other businesses looking for strategically placed facilities that will allow them to be able to move forward with their work, even when problems arise, because they have direct local access to fast solutions.
From its arrival in 2012 to its latest custom facility in 2025, TIPCO’s steady growth underscores both the company’s confidence in Lynchburg and the city’s growing role as a manufacturing hub. TIPCO’s expanded presence in the area opens up more possibilities for future jobs, creates valuable economic impacts to the area for local families, and provides opportunities as manufacturing continues to grow in the region.
