Across every business sector, there is no substitute for experience. Lynchburg Business Magazine is now searching for the next class of Legacy Awards honorees—seasoned professionals whose careers, leadership and commitment to their communities have left a lasting impact on the Greater Lynchburg Region.
The 2027 Legacy Awards will recognize outstanding professionals who continue to lead, innovate, mentor and make a difference. We’re looking for individuals whose impact reaches beyond their job title—people who have demonstrated excellence in their careers, gone above and beyond in the workplace and made meaningful civic contributions throughout our community.
Who comes to mind when you think of a true Lynchburg business legacy? A longtime leader, mentor, entrepreneur, community advocate—or perhaps even yourself? We want to hear their story. Self-nominations are welcome, and nominees must reside and work in the Greater Lynchburg area and meet the age requirement for the 2027 awards.

We will be accepting nominations starting on Sept. 28, 2026. The nomination portal will close on Nov. 22, 2026. Results will be published in the Feb./Mar. 2027 issue of Lynchburg Business. Nominees must be over 60 years of age as of January 1, 2027.
